About Mei-Modiin LTD
Mei-Modiin LTD specializes in water and sewage services for the city of Modiin-Maccabim-Reut. Founded in 2006 by the Municipality of Modiin-Maccabim-Reut, the corporation operates in accordance with the Water and Sewerage Corporations Law (2001).
Our Service Area
Mei-Modiin serves the population of Modiin and Maccabi-Reut, providing approximately 6 million cubic meters of water per year. All water is supplied to the city by the "Mekorot" company.
Ownership and Oversight
The Municipality of Modiin-Maccabim-Reut owns Mei-Modiin and holds 100% of the corporation's shares. The corporation operates under the jurisdiction of the public authority for water and is supervised by a state regulator responsible for overseeing water and sewerage corporations. Mei-Modiin is required to regularly provide financial reports and other documents to the overseeing authority, depicting its activities in the realm of water and sewerage within the city.

Our Activities
Mei-Modiin’s activities, as outlined in its goals, incorporation documents, and operational license, include:
- Providing water and sewerage services to consumers, including care, maintenance, operation, and development of the water and sewerage system of the Modiin-Maccabim-Reut local authority.
- Engaging in activities related to the water and sewerage system, as well as ancillary activities directly linked to the aforementioned services, in accordance with the licenses granted by the Commissioner and subject to the provisions of the law, rules, and regulations.
- Preparing plans for the development of the water and sewerage system, which involves infrastructure activities such as laying pipes, drilling and installing pumping facilities, and enhancing water quality. These plans are crafted in line with population growth projections and the ongoing maintenance requirements of the facilities.
- Contracting with third parties to ensure various services, including equipment maintenance, water supply, sewage pumping stations, and related tasks.
Planning and Development
As part of its stated activities, Mei-Modiin is involved in treating, restoring, and developing water and sewage systems. This includes:
- Preparing master plans aligned with outline plans, developing infrastructure works, and restoring existing infrastructures based on wear and tear data. These plans are submitted for approval to the commissioner and relevant authorities as required by law, with subsequent monitoring of their execution.
- Conducting inventory surveys of water and sewage systems, reviewing existing inventory such as connections, installations, wells, and other components. This also involves analyzing consumption and malfunction data, as well as assessing the maintenance status of various systems.
